  • Why Guys Make Horrible Friends

Omg. After reading Yosho's post on why girls make horrible friends I feel I just HAVE TO respond. I can literally count the number of guy friends I have on less than ONE hand. And of those, 3 of them are gay. I hate guys!!

    - What the hell! You know we're always going to be late so stop getting butt hurt about it and GET USED TO IT. Maybe if you came a little late sometimes, you wouldn't look like such a monkey. You'd think boys know it by now to schedule us a little earlier but nope, same lame complaints every single time.

    - They rave about a lot of stuff that I couldn't care less about. Who cares if that car doesn't have OEM (whatever) parts. Or if Madden scored 50 homeruns in this seasons versus 10 field goal (whatever) in the last. And trust me, nobody cares about the 2 or 3 girls you're almost doing it with. Chances are they are all hella ugly and homely looking but we're too nice to say so. Seriously, if one more of you guys show me a picture of a homely ass girl you're almost doing and ask me what I think of her, I am going to bang your head into the computer screen until she looks decent.

    - They get all asshole-like for no reason. One day they're nice and cool and a good guy and the next day they are beating up little middle schoolers for their lunch money. WTHeck!

    - They always try to get in your pants. And if they aren't saying it, they sure are thinking it. Sure... they ACT like they're just your friend but for ONE moment be vaguely flirtatious to them and they are going to be ripping off your clothes. You can't let your guard down for ONE DAMN MINUTE. Geeez!! IT AINT EVER HAPPENING!!! Not even when we're drunk off our asses after our boyfriends dump us.

    - Their plans always include some dumb time wasting activities like.. sitting around watching JackAss or sports or smoking weed or drinking beer. It takes like 2 hours for them to decide they want to do something. Then 2 hours for them to actually get up and do it. Ahhh!!!

    - They like the dumbest stuff ever. Like paying each other to stick their finger up a dog's butt. And they tell inapropriate vulgar jokes about sex and farting. And they like to do gay things to each other like rub each other's nipple but then because they say "no homo" it's suddenly not gay... pshhhhhh!

Whatever! Guy friends suck!!!! They're only good for heavy lifting and copying math homework off of!

  • HighLights of The Holidays

    1. I have a new camera! But I am too shy to take pictures... it seems so uncool to whip out a camera  : (

    2. Day before Christmas mass, I was soo pleasantly surprised when my church dance group pulled everything together perfectly during rehearsals. Have you tried teaching a group of 5 - 9 year olds a choreographed dance? It's no easy feat. But I love them so much more because of it :)

    3. The Christmas performance the little kids put on for Christmas Eve mass was super cute. Everyone loved their hair, makeup, and costume. People kept telling me I should do it professionally. Ha.

    4. Christmas Ever dinner Hot Pot hit just the spot for everyone considering we did it near midnight when it was freezing out and we had just come home from the Christmas Eve mass! I haven't had hot pot in soooo long it was delicious!

    5. PRESENTS!! Whooo!! So much fun opening presents with my cousins and cracking jokes. Then sleep over!! It was surprising because I didnt expect the parents to sleep over since we only live a 30 minutes drive away from each other. But I'm glad everyone did because it was so much fun and I love how we are all so comfortable and really BEST FRIENDS :)

Imagine that... makeup from my big brother. Hehe. Just what I need since I look so homely -___-

    6. Christmas day was spent eating exotic snacks from San Jose's Vietnamese mall, where every Vietnamese person and their mama went.

    7. Christmas Day Dinner at my cousin's with her in laws was a lot of fun. For the first time I played a video game and it was a lot of fun! I like how everyone is so easy going and fun to be around. I am glad my cousin is marrying into a good family :)

    8. The day after Christmas we went to a baby's birthday party at a popular seafood buffet place. Our party consisted of 40 adults and 20 toddlers. It was like a ZOO! But sooo much fun! Not to mention everyone kept laughing at the poor host who couldn't keep count of how many people to charge the bill for. Haha.

    9. I went to Wells Fargo to take care of some business that I couldn't do online myself. It took me half an hour and 3 bankers but I left with a stack of papers that I needed, not to mention FOR FREE! Whoo! Otherwise I would have had to wait a couple of weeks and paid a bunch of fees. Yay for kindred holiday spirits!

    10. I am all caught up on my business accounting, emails, orders, everything! YAY!!! I kept pushing things back because of the holidays and my clients were lighting a fire under me (seriously, it's the holidays folks...) so I buckled down and did everything late into the night last night. And now I feel like I weigh 20 pounds lighter :)

    11. I've been redecorating my room. So far so good. Its turning out real nicely. The best part is I've been doing it on a budget and literally treasure hunting at Ross, TJ Maxx, Anna's Linen's, you know.. all those budget stores and it's been A LOT of fun :) And I feel good for not spending tons of money. Hehe. Now I'm just waiting for the help of some friends to rearrange furniture and help with some of the higher wall hangings (how did they get up there in the first place?). Then I promise to take pictures and show everyone!! :)

    12. My cousin got me an appointment with a top dentist to get my two front teeth shaved down next week. Exciting! No more TWO FRONT TEETH! Gaaah! I'll be normal again! :D

    13. The holidays have been uber busy that I've sadly neglected my yoebo. Hehe I promise I'll make it up to him. He can spoil me with presents and holiday cheer anytime!! <3

    Won Choe: ..-_-
    Won Choe: meh
Won Choe: YOU NEGLECT ME ALL WEEKEND
    vanpham458: WHAT??!
Won Choe: I DID NOT LIKE THAT ONE BIT
    Won Choe: STUPID XMAS
Won Choe: I DONT LIKE XMAS NOW

Hehe. Hope everyone else's holidays went well! :)

  • Dear....

Its 3AM and I am still awake. I honestly cannot remember the last time I stayed up past 1AM. Anyhow, the bad news is I've caught a cold bu the good news is I'm off on winter break! So I can sleep in and relax, how wonderful :) And that I did, I practically slept all day so that is why I am awake right now.

My friend MariaBoscardin has been doing this LETTERS this where everyday she writes a letter to a specified someone. I think it's pretty neat so I am going to steal it to write my own(hope you don't mind ;) . Except I am going to write them all here today! Instead of spread over 1letter/day like you're supposed to -___-

    1. Someone That's Not In Your State/Country
EASY! Won Choe! Sexy boyfriend of mine in Seattle. I hope you move here soon because we have some of the best grad schools and because I'm just not ready for Seattle yet. I want to accomplish something here first. Maybe I'll build my business to be SUPER sucessful, you know, the whole bridal studio/salon thing that charges a bride like $2k for one hour's worth of work, my vision. And then I'll be happy to pick up and try that all over again in Seattle, of course by then I'd have to be world widely known and requested and be traveling anyways so really, there is no need to rebuild the business in Seattle. Ha!

    2. The Person You Miss The Most
All the old xangans I used to really love read but don't write anymore. Vanessa: funny how we became friends simply because you thought my name was Vanessa too. But thank you for being my xanga big sister and advising me on boys, who knew your advice would be DEAD ON later in life for me. M_tastic: I liked your funny post as much as anyone else but I mostly LOVED your post on your professional life. So much drive and ambition and accomplishment for someone so young! Very inspirational. Maxim_Man: Your post always made me laugh. And your comments always made me curious. Isabelle_Du (?): You have by far the coolest job EVER! I read from when you were a pageant contestant in a little Vietnamese pageant to a signed model to an International Model! I love d reading your tell-it-all attitude bout the industry. But mostly how kind you ALWAYS were to me :)

    3. Someone You've Drifted Away From
Victoria: Because you're probably one of the few people who reads my xanga and this will make you so happy. Ha. I guess distance and time does drift us apart. Why are we always in switched cities?! Remember how close and dumb we used to be? Ditching school to go gossip about our fat prom dates? Ha. Good thing we can just pick right up again still huh?

    4. Someone You Wish Could Forgive You
Daddy: Sometimes I can't help but think we contributed to your early demise. Strokes are caused by high blood pressure, high blood pressure can be caused by stress. And we did nothing but stress you out. With our hooligan and shenanigans. Can you forgive us for not living up to your expectations? For not taking full advantages of our opportunities? For making you feel like you've fought for your life through poverty and war in vain? It's a constant question for me whether if us being happy with our chosen life path is enough for you to be happy. Have you forgiven us?

    5. The Person You Hate The Most/Caused You The Most Pain
As much as I wonder if you've forgven us, I can't help but wonder have I really forgiven you? I don't think of these moments often but I do think of them from time to tme. Let by gones be by gones or do I need to get it off my chest someday?

    6. People Who Have Passed Away
Cousin Tim: You were always the most joyeous person in the family. I think about your smile every holiday that the family gets together and am sadly reminded you aren't here to be joyeous with us. I also think about you everytime I get on a roller coaster because you were the one who forced me on my first roller coaster and made me feel safe by grabbing onto my shaking knees.I think about your generosity with my family when we first came to America and all the road trips you took us kids on. I think you are the sole reason why the family grew up so close to each other. I have you to thank for my best friends.

    7. Roommates
Alexis: I'm sorry I wasn't a better roommate. I've never had to share ANYTHING before so I hated the situation, not you. You were the sweetest girl ever always trying to help me with anything I needed and put up with my friends. I'm sorry I never allowed us to bond or even helped you get into house parties even though we went to the same one. I wasn't a bitch, but I could have been a much better friend. Freshman year could have been so much better if I hadn't been so quiet and reserved all the time. I am glad my friends were able to connect with you the way I didn't. At least when I left you to go party, they were there to keep you company. I wish our paths could cross again so I can get a second chance at being a REAL friend to you.

    8. Grandparents
I don't really know ANY of you but from what I hear, I was always your favorite as a child. Ha! That's all I need to know! I hear you were some of the most intelligent, classy, and kind men of the time and I hope I inherited some of that! I wish you were around to teach me folk medicine, and French, and music, and how to make a cultural instrument from coconut shells and tree bark.

    9. Intraweb Friends
Thank you for reading and allowing a place for me to connect with you on a non superficial level. And for allowing me to take advice, give advice, and speak my mind. And thank you for giving me little stories and anecdotes to converse over about with my boyfriend.

    10. Exes
Seriously.. I like our relationships the way it is... non existence. Ha. No hard feelings. Actually, no feelings at all.

    11. Dreams
Please come true. ALL OF IT. Okay fine, I can do without the fame. But definitely the fortune and the fabulosity!
    See you soon okay? Kisses!

    12. Siblings

Gaaaah Im getting too tired for this.. I'll finish it another time.

  • Life As a Cosmo Student. II

I was one of the first people to make BFFs and form our clique at the start of the program. We were all SUPER closer than anyone else in the program and remember we used to be the "mean girls?" School was fun. I knew I always had my girls no matter what kind of trouble we got into. Until those bishes dropped out! Gaaah!

So I became friends with my acquaintances but by then all the cliques were made and I didn't feel like I really belonged to any of them. Sad. My clique was gone and here I was being honorary members of cliques here and there. And as much as I appreciate everyone being nice to me and including me, I didn't feel AT HOME. I didn't know their inside jokes or their personal lives, not like I knew my girls'.

    The following cliques are:

    1. Pot Heads & Drunkards: Haha okay I'm being mean. I guess they're the "popular kids." They include the most talented group of students who kind of run the program because the kids who are the official program leaders are in this group, and so are the pretty girls. They're probably my closet friends but like I've labeled them, they're pot heads and drunkards, true to the stereotype of hair dressers. So when I go out with them, I'm the loner who has a soda pop and goes home early while they down drinks after drinks and wake up all together in god-knows-where. Not to mention they collectively smoke pot together at school so they're too stoned to really talk with. As you can imagine that makes for lots of inside jokes and personal stories amongst them. We're friends, but I take no part in that. So I was so touched when they invited me to be part of their Secret Santa luncheon. I had fun :)

    2. The Old People: They're not really old, but they're older than most of us in the program. While most of the kids are just out of high school and living off mommy, they ARE the mommies. And although I enjoy their maturity and kindness, I kind of go blank when they start talking about their struggles with kids, husbands, house wife stuff. I can't relate to that nor do I even understand it!

    3. The Punk Rockers: Okay, they're not really punk rock but that's how they dressed for Halloween so that's how I think of them. They're another one of those SUPER formed cliques that is hard to get into. So we get along. But they're their own friends.

    4. The Emos: All they do is complain about EVERYTHING. I personally think they're the funniest and most smart kids of the program. But I try to stay positive so as much as I laugh when they're complaining, I can't really join in. That and their taste in alternative music and clothes totally clash with my rah rah be pink and happy lifestyle.

    5. The loners: They're loners for a reason. No lie. They aren't really a clique, but rather a collection of individual loners. I remember when everyone was super mean to some of them, I would never join in. Heck, my friends and I even tried to be their friends. But like I said, they're loners for a reason. I don't say this to be mean, but I am sure they would be diagnosed with some sort of mental disability, if they weren't already. After we were repeatedly rejected by them and realized what bitches they were, we left them alone to be the loners they are. Not to mention one of the girls freaking T-Boned my new car on the last day before summer break. All efforts towards communication stopped there.

    6. The Seniors: Meaning the group of students who started the program before my class and are on their way to graduate or recently graduated. Well, they're in a different class so you don't get much bonding time with them. I got along with everyone but never close enough to call any of them my friend. So I am always a little surprised when any of them FB FR me. To be honest, I'm surprised they know my full name.

    7. Freshmeat: The freshmans below our class who started the program after ours. I don't know any of them at all or made any effort for any communication. They're really loud and rowdy and seem to annoy everyone in the program, including the staffs. So I keep my distance. But I better start playing extra nice with them seeing as how I'll be in class with them next semester. Awkward....

I don't feel like I fit in with any of the crowds too perfectly. Even hanging out outside of school with them was a dragg to me. Our style of hanging out is completely different from the way we dressed to what type of restaurants we ate to everything! But I like everyone they way they are. I get along with everyone the program and I am glad to see them there everyday : )   And although my girls ditched me in the program, they're actually always the first one to support and encourage me in any projects I have, like out upcoming Winter Fashion Show :)

  • Ice Cream Flavor

Breyer's brand ice cream has always been my favorite! Not because of it's taste, Haagen-Daz is my favorite taste wise, but because of Breyer's commercials back in the day where the kids read, "Sugar, milk, and strawberry!" Even to this day I feel like it tastes the healthiest, even though scientifically I am sure it's not. See what commercials do to you?

Anyhow, it's been YEARS since I've bought ice cream. So when Bryers was on sale at Safeway the other day, which it NEVER is, I decided to buy a box. What flavor to choose? Starberry is always good. But I like the strange taste of chocolate ice cream too. And you can never go wrong with Vanilla. Or should I do something fun and choose a fun flavor like pineapple coconut or pecan pralines? Oh the decisions. I stood there for some time, I'm sure I was starting to salivate. Then I walked to where mom was and asked her what she wanted. She said whatever. So there I was, right back where I started.

I ended up choosing the Napolean since it had all three flavors! Exciting!

Now that it's been a week since my impulse buy I realize:
    1. Starwberry is the BEST flavor.
    2. Vanilla is so plain and boring and just too plain sweet.
    3. Chocolate is bareable but definitely not a favorite.

Now the box of ice cream is out of strawberry with heaps of chocolate and even bigger heaps of vanilla. Sad... Also, Breyers tastes really unhealthy. I can just taste all the cream and sugar. Gaaah. No more ice cream. Now about that box of frozen yogurt.. yumm... : )

  • Life As a Cosmo Student. I

I've decided to make an installment of "Life As a Cosmo Student" entries with little stories from my .... life as a cosmo student. The ups, the downs, the days I'm actually there. Other people do it, the nurses, the EMT, the model, the doctors, and those are always my favorite blog because it's a window into a career I would otherwise never know about. So here is the start of my installment! Since I've been in the program for about 1,100 hours now (my does time fly!) and I only have about 500 hours left to complete the program, I am going to do quick highlights of my last 1,100 hours.:

    1. The first time I had to give someone a haircut with an electrical buzzer, the guy with the jewfro (white guy with an afro) asked that I used a 3 guard. Of course having missed the week of school when we were taught how to use the buzzers, I grabbed my guard that say 3 MM. 3 is a 3 right? WRONG! I actually grabbed the 1 guard, which pretty much shaves the head. Hehe. You can just see the look of shock on the teacher's face and the client's face with that first strip we shaved off. Me? I didn't know what a 3 or 1 was supposed to look like so it looked fine to me. I mean, I know now. Anyhow, I had to be extra nice to him because I figure I was already a bad stylist, I was at least going to be a nice person.

    2. I've become really popular at giving Scalp Treatments because apparently I give great scalp massages. It's kind of flattering that clients are repeatedly asking for me again and again. Except... Scalp Treatments are kind of gross cuz it gets rid of all their dandruff and hair oil meaning my little hands are all up in that : ( My saving grace is that the "scalp massage man", this creepy old and bald man who comes like twice a week, hasn't learned about my awesome scalp treatments so he sticks with this other girl at the moment. I'll die if I ever have him as a client. Die!

    3. My wonderfully sarcastic teacher reaches out her hand and yells, "Hi! I'm Ms. B, who are you?!" every time I come to school. At least she has a sense of humor about it....?

    4. All my BFFs from school dropped out half way through it. I miss seeing them everyday. But we still hang out now :)   Btw, I met them at school but we became BFFs so early on that everyone thought we knew each other from before. It got to the point that people were confusing us for each other! And now all my friends and aquaintances are graduating one by one without me. Sad... I'll be stuck with the newly enrolled students. Sad.

    5. We have a really ugly uniform, cotton t shirts with black pants and comfortable (read = ugly) shoes. I barely make any sort of effort in the morning since school starts so early and there is no point in having nice hair or makeup if I am swimming in a pool of cheap baggy cotton. So when we had a field trip where were allowed to dress freely but professional, everyone was shocked how different I look in my regular clothes, hair, and makeup. I'm not the ugly one anymore. Yay!

    6. We had a class field trip to visit a couple of salons we would like to work at after school. I ended up choosing all the highest end salons of high end salons in downtown San Francisco. After visiting all of them my thought is... forget working there! I want to be there as a client!!

That's all I can think of for now. Keep posted for more on Life As a Cosmo Student : )

  • Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!... and The Presents <3

We've always had a Christmas tree every year at my house. After Thanksgiving we would beg my dad to put up the Christmas tree. And between my dad, my brothers, and I we put our little Christmas tree with the lights and the ornaments that stayed up well past the New Years. My favorite was that my dad would save the ornaments I made year after year and put it on the tree, of course, he saved everything. Ha. When my brothers got older they stopped helping put up the Christmas tree. Then once in a while they would only help sort out the Christmas lights. Finally it became my dad who did everything by himself. The last few years he even made his own window decorations with huge stars and lights! It was tacky but now I miss it. Last year we didn't put a tree. No one had done it for so long, it's like we forgot.

Anyhow.. this year I was inspired by a Martha Stewart-ish new edition of Christmas decors. Did you know this year's color is RED and GOLD. So I decided to be hip with it and went out to buy RED and GOLD Christmas decorations from the Dollar Tree. I spent $20. I came home, dug up that sad little tree in the garage that we've used again and again. It looks quite sad and sparse so I went and bought some pine tree garland to add to the tree to make it look fuller. My trick worked! Hehe. Then I put together the ornaments. My ornaments are SEMI-HOMEMADE! And mum helped me put them up. And now we have this beautiful little thing that I show off to EVERYONE! HAha. Next year.. a peacock Christmas tree...

Gold and Red is IN this year!

With the lights. For some reason only the very top of the tree has blinking lights.. as you can see int his picture. Haha and I don't know how to fix it. Sad  :(

Close up of my little red birds :)

With the lights! Doesn't it look so romantic?  <3

The tree topper! I still need a sparkling gold star!

Yay! I finally have pictures now to post on xanga! All because yoebo bought me a new camera!! I just got it in the mail a few hours ago. It's sooo cute! and easy to use. LOVE IT!

And course to upload the photos from my new camera is the laptop yoebo bought me!

Like my pink Hello Kitty? It's part of last year's resolution to be PINK AND FABULOUS! Needs... glitter! :D

Oh yea and I can't forget this new little mouse that yoebo bought me so I stop getting finger cramps from using the laptop finger pad. HEhe. Cute huh? It's so tiny! And very very girly. My favorite :)

I love getting packages from yoebo! From the smallest things to tech savvy laptops and cell phones I love it all! Hehe I'd be happy if he sent me a post it note!

Let's see Christmas tree pictures everyone!

  • Thanksgiving in Sacramento

Pictures taken from my cousin's camera.

The morning started off early since we had a 2 hours drive.

Good thing Bambi is big enough now to drive us. Haha.

This is Kaylie, she's Bambi's enemy. Whenever Bambi tries to mess with Kaylie, Kaylie kick's Bambi's ass. I love/hate them all the same.

This is Marley, like from Marley & Me. Hehe just kidding. her real name is COFFEE, she's just a puppy! Yet somehow, she was the biggest dog there.

All the yummy food... that wasn't turkey.

My favorite was the table of appetizers because I've just discovered caramel dip. YUM!!!

This was my other favorite.. BBQ squid. Except I ended up choking on a big piece.. so I stopped eating it. Sad. That's my cousin's hand. The ring on his pinky is his late wife's wedding band. It's very sad. They lost each other so young (33yrs old only). So we are always glad when my cousin comes to family gatherings and is in a cheerful mood.

Speaking of family, everyone was so shocked my older brother and I were working as a team, they had take a picture of it. Ha!

My dorky brother and his future dorky brother-in-law frying the turkey!

I told you they're dorky. Hahahaha.

Sizzle! It was kind of scary when the oil stated splattering everywhere..

    All done. YUM....

My brother had the honors of carving the Turkey in his first house hosting his first Thanksgiving. Hehe.. why does it look so burnt?!

This is my brother's humble little home. See how there was NO WAY 25+ grown people were all going to fit in their living room  (because they don't have a dining room).

But no one minded, even if it meant they had to sit on the stairs! I love my brother's house. I really do. It's their first house they bought together and they renovated everything by themselves. Her brothers taught my brother how to do hardwood flooring and all that good stuff. My brother, the computer nerd, was getting on his hands and knees to put this house together. I know they are really proud of it. We all are! And his wife decorated it so nicely. I really like the place. It's a loving home :)

After dinner aftermath. See how we set up Cranium but no one played? That's why! Food Coma!

We will be hosting Christmas this year in San Francisco. We're actually hosting it on Christmas eve at midnight!! Exciting!!! Now I need to go out and buy a Christmas tree, lights, and decorations! Exciting!!

  • December in Seattle

Even though yoebo and I promised ourselves we would start taking more photos of our trips (for the wedding slideshow! hahaha).. sadly, as always, we barely have any :(   Why?

    1. The new camera yoebo bought for me for Christmas was still being shipped.
    2. One day yoebo forgot to charge the camera
    3. One day yoebo forgot to bring the SD card for the camera
    4. One time yoebo simply forgot to bring the camera
    5. Do you really want to see pictures of me in bed watching Criminal Minds all day?

So the one and only place we DID take pictures of was at Zoolights. To be honest, Zoolights was kind cool to see for the first time. But I would never go back again. I mean, I liked that EVERY SINGLE plant was covered in lights but that kind of got repetitive after a while, not to mention all the animals are asleep. It was sooooo cold! Yoebo bought me a fur hat! hehe!!

We had to time it just right to catch the peacock all lit up because the lights were blinking.

Zoolights! Yoebo's mom asked if I had gained a lot of weight lately. No I didn't. I still weigh in at 100 lbs. What did happen was that I wore 6 layers of sweatshirts shirts and 3 layers of pants every where I went because it was sooo freaking cold! Seriously! I wore my entire suitcase everyday. At least it's pink? Ha!

And then we did our super cute photo boot machine that we ALWAYS do, of course. That's us pretending to be tigers, then happy people, then pretending to be monkeys, then freaking out and yoebo just grabbing me to plant a big smooch!

Meting Pot desserts were yummy! I felt really shy about asking for a glass of milk but the waitress said she was surprised more people didn't. Well, for $4 a glass, I'm not surprised. Seriously, smoothies don't cost that much. But we donated $10 to St. Jude's children's hospital and got a $20 gift certificate in exchange. So we will be back to dinner sometime :)

The one day I had to stay home because Yoebo had to go in to work.. I spent all day in bed watching Criminal Minds... Then I got REALLY scared because I realized I was in this HUGE house all by myself. Then Yoebo told me not to worry because Pinky was there to protect me...

Presenting... Pinky. It's ridiculous really, but this little thing did make me feel safer.

One night I told Yoebo I wanted to talk about our "feelings" but then he turned away and fell asleep -___-. Determined not to go to sleep with him after he turned away from me, even though I was SUPER sleepy, I stayed up to watch Criminal Minds by myself. But then I got really scared so I stopped pretending to be mad and cuddled as close as I could in case there was a killer nearby.

As for the Company Christmas Party. I shouldn't have stressed over what to wear because I ended up keeping my coat on all night. It was just so cold! Aside from the funny couple from Sales who happened to sit with us and entertained us with their stories, it was really boring. Not to mention I was feeling really sick all night so I just wanted to go home.

Despite me taking anti-nausea medicine on both plane rides, I got really sick both time. One time I got really drowsy and uneasy the rest of the day. The second time I took a non-drowsy formula but ended up getting REALLY nauseous I had to grab one of those vomit bags. No fun. Dramamine, which is the common anti -nausea drug they sell at the airport stores, sucks. I like my pharmacy bought Bonine better.

On a good note, yoebo's umma bought me a Korean electric blanket that I love. Except it's not a blanket and it actually warms your bed from underneath your sheets. Heaven!! Now I don't have to wear everything I own just to go to sleep.

Hopefully I will have better luck with the camera during Christmas and can post some pictures!

  • My 11 New Year Resolutions for 2011

Or rather.. just things I want to accomplish by the end of 2011.

    1. Graduate cosmetology school & get my cosmetology license. This shouldn't be too hard...unless I get SUPER off track or something. FOCUS!

    2. Open my own little makeup studio/salon. Somewhere close to home. Something I can call my own, decorated and done the way I want :)

    3. Finish my last 2 GEs to transfer back into a 4 year college. Finish my last 2 electives to obtain an AA while I'm still in the city college system.

    4. Take better care of my health. Go see a doctor when I am not feeling well. See a dentist regularly, not just when I need to.

    5. Save money. $1,000 a month minimum will go into savings. NO TOUCHING IT! Not even for purses for shoes, ESPECIALLY not for purses or shoes.

    6. Lose 10 lbs. And keep it off! Not just by dieting, but with some sort of regular exercise. A little bit of activity every day!

    7. PERSISTENCE. CONSISTENCE. Keep these words in my mind when it comes to school. I always do SO well the first half of the semester, straight As & teacher's favorite. But I always feel burnt out and stop trying after the second half. This year I will continue to be on top of the class through out the semester.

    8. Learn Korean so I can converse with yoebo's umma. Is it just me or does she only speak to me in Korean now...? Lol.

    9. Do more household chores. I will do the dishes every night. And help with laundry every Sunday.

    10. Fight less with the yoebo. Make sure he always knows I'm proud of what he's accomplished and support him 100% on the things he wants to accomplish, not just ask for things from him. Hehe.

    11. This year I will have better self-esteem. No more regretting my bad decisions and replaying them over and over and over again in my head. No more fearing I am not good for certain people, places, or positions.

What are YOUR new year resolutions.. okay so maybe I am jumping the gun a little bit here :P
