  • "So what do you like to do for fun?"

My friend Dana wrote a post about this. And sadly, I would have to say I agree that most of the time I also answer, "Nothing." Or, "Not Much." When in reality I LOVE doing arts and crafts for fun.

I've done just about every arts and crafts project you could think of. I've knitted scarves, I've made ornaments, I've done serious beading work, I've scrapped booked, I've grew a little garden, I've painted glass, I've water painted, I've sculpted, I've.. everything! Every few weeks I'd get really involved in some personal art project. The result of having two older brothers who had their own friends and I was the "DWEEB."

My parents always encouraged and more importantly funded it. Our living room floor has never really been spotless. It's always mostly covered with whatever project I was into at the moment. Right now there are bags filled with flowers and feathers, fabric, thread and glue. I'm into making Halloween costumes at the moment.

We have boxes and boxes and boxes filled with the remaining scraps from years worth of projects. It's quite easy to entertain little cousins when they come over. But more importantly my little projects can be found everywhere through out the house. My dad always kept at least one of my best from each project. A painting, a Christmas ornament, a scarf, a mobile, a little beaded key chain, and even a vegetable dish during dinner. He'd always encourage me and tell me how good something was. And he'd always know little tips and tricks to improve it. He took every one of my projects as seriously as I did, like I would make a career of it someday! My mom always sighed at the big mess she'd have to clean up at the end of those few weeks. Hehe.

Now imagine me telling this to a stranger!!

  • My Thoughts After My First Ever Xanga Meet

This must have been the absolute WORST work weekend. EVER. Actually, it was a REALLY good weekend with all 5 weddings over the two days. Until my very last one. I've been sick to my stomach thinking about it non stop. *sigh* But I've been talking to a few people and I am starting to feel much better about it. I am not going to say anything about it right now just in case it ever goes to court. Being in the wedding industry is so glamorous but OMG so stressful. You are responsible for the single most important ( in my opinion) day of a woman's life!!

My doctor friend has suggested I go see a doctor about my anxiety issue because maybe there are drugs out there that can help me. Oh yes, did I mention I have pretty bad anxiety issues? I would really like to NOT be on drugs for ANYTHING but considering how my condition seems to be getting worst and worst, maybe I DO need that kind of help. Something to help me chill out. Don't anyone suggest weed to me -____-.

I was reading a magazine article about anxiety and there was a checklist for your reactions to situations and it would show you if you were just STRESSED or if you have ANXIETY. Turns out I react in the ANXIETY category for just about all the situations. I think this explains my multiple unexplained illnesses in the last year. Anxiety is so hard to explain and make people understand. I get so frustrated sometimes when I tell my boyfriend about how I need to throw up when I am late for an appointment and he doesn't know how to help me except to tell me to "relax." I can't relax! My body just goes in over drive at the slightest hint that things aren't going as planned. I have this urge to throw up, I always imagine the worst possible scenario, I cold sweat, my heart races inside my chest, and I just want to cry. Even though I know logically everything will be OKAY, my body just FREAKS out. I mean, I'll break out in cold sweat when I am turning right at a red light. Something SOOO simple.

2 years ago when my best friend was going through the same thing (he was in and out of the hospital for anxiety) I totally did not understand him and I thought he just needed to man up. But now that I am in the situation, I can finally understand. It felt sooooo good to talk to someone who understood me and believed me. After a long conversation we figured that it might have A LOT to do with my dad's passing last year. All my life I've been pretty easy going and low stress about everything. But in the last year I've notice this terrible anxiety. Since my dad's passing I've taken on the role of taking care of my mom AND myself. And I mean like insurances, rent, cars, rides, paperwork for every damn thing. All while being 22 and trying to have fun yet figure out what I am going to do for the rest of my life and how I am going to go about it. And then ... actually attempting it.  But it's not a bad thing. I am so in love and grateful for all that we have. I just wish... there was a little less of it or more time. I am totally NOT the type of person who can go for days without sleep. Heck, I can't even go for HALF a day without sleep. And there are only so little hours in a day to do anything when you have so much to take care of.

I rarely get to go out with my friends so when I do, I really try to make the most of it while I still have the energy. This weekend was the San Francisco Xanga Meet Up/Host Out Of Towners Jenny, Mae, and Wahidah (sp?). Of course organized by (gotta luv_her) Christina. Not to mention she was sleeping over at my house so I kind of HAD TO go. Hahaha. Just kidding. It was a great excuse to get out of the house and see some old friends and (MAYBE) make some new ones. Btw, I STOLE all these pictures from Christina and Jenny because I don't have a cute little digital camera of my own. Sad.

Korean BBQ with the gang. Boys on one side. Girls on the other :)

With all this food, I had to mean business! This is my "eating hair."

Jumping in the photos with some of the lovely ladies :)

Jumping in more photos at the bar (that I've NEVER been to even though I live 5 minutes away) and not posing correctly : (

And then I just got unpleasant because I didn't want people to say I make the same smiley face in ALL my pictures.

Except.. I made the same silly face in all my pictures. Hm.

I had fun. Everyone kept asking if I was bored or if I wanted to go home since I was really quiet. Just in case you did not know me, I am always that way even with a group of my own friends that I've known since forevers. That and I am SUPER awkward around the opposite sex (much to the delight of my super Korean boyfriend). Gah! Too many boys!!!

So... what do I think of everyone? Well.. for the most part I'd say I'm pretty surprised because NO ONE looked or acted the way I was expecting based on their xanga (okay so I had only really read a handful of them before). It's kind of like reading a good book and you had to use your imagination and imagine what all the characters look and sound like then you see the movie that comes out years later and you think the casting director did it all wrong. Well, that was how I felt. I will never read your xangas the same way again. Hahahahaha. I do like the real live people  : )

    Okay that's all. Goodnight!!

  • Thoughts Before My First Ever Xanga Meet

Me: Do you think this is too nice for the occasion
    Christina: You always dress nice
Me: Yea, but I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard you know?
    Christina:....
Me: But I still want people to notice... because I DO try really hard. All the time.
    Christina: Hahahahhaha

That's the conversation that goes through my head before every time I meet someone new. I am sitting here waiting for Christina to come pick me up.

I look a little bit like Asian Barbie on Halloween.  I didn't intend to. But as a makeup artist, I always go a little wild with the makeup every time I go out. I get bored of the natural beauty look I do for my clients day in and out. And then I wonder what would happen if I wear 2 or 3 or 4 pairs of lashes? What would happen if I wear 2 layers of neon purple and neon pink lipstick? What happens if  I layer 4 layers of blushes going from hot pink to dark brown. And then I sit and go.. oh man.... I look like Asian Barbie on Halloween. I should stop now before I start glueing on rhinestones and feathers. I hope no one thinks I'm super weird. Ha!

For sure when I get in the car with Christina I am going to grill her for the dirt on everyone. For sure. Hahahahaha.

Okay. Talk to you guys later after I meet some of you guys.

PS. Please don't post any ugly pictures of me  ; )

  • Advertisement Fail.

Right now in cosmetology school I am going through the FACIAL segment. I absolutely love it! Free facials like 5 times a week! Hahaha. Probably more bad for my skin than it is good but we get to nap during facials time! That and I've gotten REALLY good at facial massages. Hehe.

You see, I've been doing makeup for the last 5 years. And while I can make anyone APPEAR they have FLAWLESS skin, everyone goes back to their ugly dry acne skin once they wash it off. So I love that in facials I learn how to help everyone achieve REAL LASTING FLAWLESS skin!

So you can only imagine my excitement when my teacher announced that we were going to take a Field Trip to the Dermalogica Institute, the leading post graduate institute on skin care in the world, for their special Undergraduate day. SUPER STOKE!! I didn't even mind the $30 parking fee I had to pay.

Until I walked into a TINY classroom fit for 20 people but stuffed with 50+ students. The classmates from my school had grabbed a whole section in the back of the room. The first half of the morning was about RETAIL. Their # 1 message: 50% of your business should be from retail. It seemed quite fishy coming from a company that makes most of their money from products and account sales. But I try to stay positive. They are right, retail in business IS important. I really came expecting them to teach me secrets to skin care but I guess half a day spent on retail isn't so bad. I won't even complain about the over crowding, the heat, nor the fact that their lesson plan was clearly planned for  a 15 year old entering the retail work force for the first time in their life, not to-be professionals. But okay, fine.

After lunch we were going to get to see real live demonstrations of the back massages and extractions. Sweet!! I don't know why but I kept hoping they would tell us we could all get up now and follow them into a MUCH LARGER lab with enough space for everyone to see up close the work they were going to do. I hope for too much. I ended up staying stuck in my seat in the back of the classroom watching a demonstration at the front of the classroom where I couldn't even see the model. For all I know she could have been playing air drum on the model and I wouldn't have noticed the difference. If that wasn't bad enough, their lessons plans was pretty much, and I kid you not, "We're going to teach you how to extractions.. but we're not going to REALLY teach you how to do extractions unless you pay $110 to come back to our graduate classes."

Okay, if anyone doesn't realize by now that this Undergraduate Day is all a big commercial then they are what you call a SUCKER. This is really too bad because before this, I would have paid any amount to take these graduate classes but now I see this company as a money greedy company versus a company that really cares about the education of good skin care, which is what they advertise to be. I bet if they had actually taught us some real knowledge about skin care on Undergraduate Day we would be dying to pay to take their Graduate classes to learn more. I mean.. don't tell me what they would teach us in the 3 hours of Undergrad day is all of what they will teach us in their weekend long Graduate classes? Now I question their mission and the credibility of the company over all. Sad.

  • Things That Bother Me

    1. People who move their pilates mats RIGHT NEXT to me in Pilates class when there are bigger spaces somewhere else. There should always be two arms lengths between you and the next pilates mat because you have to swing your arms and legs around. Today in class this girl came in half an hour late and went to set up her mat in some random spacious place near her girl friend but instead got up and walked across the gym to set up her mat less than one arm's length for me. What the heck?! For leg kicks, I SWEAR her feet dangle above MY mat. And its obvious when we do arm stretches she can't do it because uh.. hello our arms would collide. I wonder if she felt as awkward as I did! Not comfortable. AT ALL. Turns out after class  she was talking to the guy that was originally kind of sort of near me. So THAT's why she SQUEEZED herself next to me. Ughh.. ANNOYING!!! Just for annoying me, I hope that guy thinks she's a WEIRDO the way I do.

    2. Girl friends who get super rude trying to protect their boyfriends. Scenario, I meet girl friend's boyfriend for the first time. After girl friend and I chat and catch up, boyfriend tries to make polite small talk like asking what school or career I'm in. As if it isn't awkward enough for me, girl friend jumps in middle of my sentences and talks about private inside stories with boyfriend. MID my SENTENCE while I'm still there. And it's not like she doesn't know better because after that EVERYONE can feel the awkward tension created by rude girl friend. OMG. Now it feels like I did something wrong when I didn't! Ughhh. If you are that way about your boyfriend, then don't bother bringing him along and introducing him to people. Just have him sit quietly in the corner by himself until you're done mingling. That or bring your dog next time.

Conclusion: Girls do crazy rude things for boys. Why? Boys suck (except my boyfriend. Haha!)

    3. People who complain about not knowing how to do something and then bitching when you help them out. I hate it when people give me attitude and treat me like a know it all. Especially when I DO know it all! See, I usually never offer help because I know some people like to figure things out on their own and because I know I am a know it all so I work extra hard at NOT being one. But of course if you're going to bitch about not knowing how to do something or that you need help. Then yes, as a friend I am going to jump in and help because I love to help out my friends when I know the subject well. But then don't in turn freaking turn around and give me attitude as if I am smothering you. Arghhh!! This actually happens at my cosmetology school a lot. People who are normally good at school give me hell whenever I help them with something they don't know how to do. Why? Because they want to think they're good on their own. Let's face the music. NO YOU'RE NOT! And see if I EVER help anyone ever again! You can just sit there and SUCK next time. Ha! Suck on that!!

  • Seattle Again :)

Seattle, Seattle, Seattle, why must you rain so much? :(

I went clubbing with yoebo and his friends for the first time. We went to Aura and that was fun. Hopefully yoebo's friends upload some pictures on facebook soon so I can steal them! Hehe. The funny thing is yoebo and I ALWAYS talk about what we would do in a hypothetical situation at the club if he would fight or not when I'm around. We could never come to a conclusion except that he promised if I really tried to drag him away that he back off and leave. I always think about how hard that will be for an aggressive fighter like him. I didn't have to wait long to find out what he would REALLY do.

Can you believe yoebo and his friends got into a fight the very first time I went clubbing with them!? The funny thing is that the other guys shoved in my yoebo. Yet somehow yoebo's friend was the guy leading the fight, his wife was struggling to hold him back. And even funnier yoebo was the one trying to prevent the fight, he managed to back the other guy back by a 1/4 of a block I watched for a while until security caught up to yoebo. I debated for the longest time if I should come over and drag him away or should I just stay where I was. I mean.. it WAS raining in the streets and I WAS wearing 6 inch hooker heels. Safe? No? Yes? What if I fall trying to even walk over there? And the guys could start swinging any minute. But if I don't try to get back yoebo and things go wrong and he gets in trouble then I would be stranded. By now security was all up on yoebo so I limped over and pulled yoebo away. I forced him to put his arms around me and we walked away.

But before we got very far, someone else had thrown the first punch (now that yoebo wasn't there preventing the fight anymore). At that yoebo left me and ran back. All I could see was that someone was on the floor getting kicked from all directions. Was it one of us? Was it one of them? Arghh. Police sirens finally sounded and everyone split. Absolute chaos after that trying to make sure everyone was okay and accounted for. Everyone was drunk, high on adrenaline, and did I mention the rain? Good thing everyone of us was safe and no one arrested. *sigh* At least now we know how our hypothetical situation would turn out. Not too bad. I'm just glad my yoebo isn't one of those super drunk guys who wants to fight everyone and anyone over nothing. But at the same time he'll be there for his friends. Yet also ensuring my safety too.

Saturday we went to the Puyallup Fair. It was his sister's first time ever going to the fair. The good thing is we got a few good hours in before the sky rained. I was too scared to go on the big rides and I sucked at all the carnival games. Yoebo bought a frog!!

Saturday night we went out to dinner at El Gaucho's in Seattle. Dinner service was great but the food was mediocre :(

Dinner was filet mignon and lobster carved table side for two. Dang it, we should have gotten something they flambed table side. We were super jealous of all the guests that had flames roaring from their table. Next time!

Afterward we swung by Citrus Lounge to hang out with some friends.

By the fireplace because I was freezing in the rain!

On our way out... lol the waitress must have been drunk when she took the shot. Look how much she cut out off of yoebo. Or maybe he's too tall! I'm the perfect height. hahaha! Sad story: Yoebo's friend offered me a shot, which I did not want to take but I didn't want to turn away their friendliness after they had already bought it for me and so I took a tiny gulp. O.M.G. I am breaking out from it now on my face.. UGHHH!!! Well now that they know I'm not a stuck up snob, next time I can turn away their drinks! Ha.

Sunday morning I worked then we took yoebo's family out for Dim Sum. I was so shocked they had never had it before. I guess the Chinese don't dominate Seattle the way they dominate San Francisco here. Anyhow, I'm glad they enjoyed it! They'll think I'm the cool new girlfriend who takes them out to new experiences they would otherwise never enjoy. I promised his mum I'd learned Korean so she can talk to him sans yoebo. Ha!

To describe the rest of our trip is 1. SHOPPING and 2. NAPPING. My two most favorite things to do ever.

All in all, this was the most wonderful trip ever (aside from all my previous trips because they are all wonderful really)

P.S. Don't laugh at me for wearing the same dress again. I had JUST bought it and LOVED it so I wore it again. I promise my other oufits are non-repeats!

  • Weddings, Weddings, Weddings Galore

This past weekend I worked at 4 weddings. The fun part was at night I attended one of the weddings as a guest. I am so happy to see everyone complimenting the bride on her gorgeousness knowing I helped with that. Hehe. The bride has been a LONG TIME family friend of mine from church. So the other attendees of the wedding were also my long time friends. It was one of the most fun reception I've been to in a LONG time. I usually just accompany my parents to their friend's kid's wedding and its SUPER boring for me. But this one I was a table of all my own friends that I haven't seen in ages!

Plus I can't believe the bride got my married! I still remember the days we'd joke around that she would make all her bridesmaids wear pink tutus and ballet their way down the aisle. Haha we've gone a LONG way from there. Or that she and my brother are the same age so back in the day one of them had a crush on the other (don't remember which on which) and the other hated that so then they became sworn enemies ever since that day. Not even friends! Hahaha. Can you believe my brother got married a few months ago and now her?! I can't!

With the gang from my childhood church :) .... Who's next?!

With my best friend from preschool and my god sister!

Catching the bouquet! As you can see I have no athletic abilities at all. Who catches a bouquet down there?!

This coming weekend I am going to Seattle to hang out with Yoebo! I can't wait to see him. We've both been soooo busy we don't even talk on the phone anymore! Either I am too tired then the next night he'll be too tired. But we'll have an uninterrupted weekend together! Spending every minute of the next 36 hours together. Hahaha. Funny thing is I had blocked of this weekend from weddings so no bride could book me and I can go to Seattle. Some clients saw that I was going to be in Seattle and ended up booking me for their Seattle weddings. I'm looking at 2 weddings this weekend. Hahaha. Omg! I can never escape work now can I? It's okay I don't mind. Paid vacation! Not to mention I can write it off as a business expense. Hehe. We're thinking I should advertise in Seattle now so I have more chances to go visit Yoebo and his family. We were also invited to a wedding but we probably won't go since we won't know any of the guests... But I do kind of want to go. I'm so in love with everything wedding related. I like to just go and absorb it all in. Hahaha.

I'm almost done packing for Seattle can you believe it? Miss procrastinate is done packing a full 3 days ahead of time!? I went out and bought 3 new outfits! Since I will be going clubbing with Yoebo and his friends for the first time, I want to make a good impression and also because... well.. I've worked hard and I deserve it! Haha! I literally packed at least one outfit (top to bottom with accessories and shoes included) for each activity we're doing: Dinner, clubbing, work, Pullyap fair, possible wedding reception, work, brunch with the parents, hanging out, possible rain, possible sun, etc.... "At least one outfit", meaning for some activities I packed two outfits just in case I change my mind there. I even have my makeup & hair planned for each outfit. Yes. That is the type of person I am.

The last thing I need to pack is my makeup case. I need to reload everything and divide up my makeup into Carry On and Check In. My makeup case has lots of liquids and tools that need to be sent away. Not to mention makeup is so fragile that I have to be extra protective of my stuff or else everything will break. I had a friend lose over $1000 worth of makeup due to breakage when she traveled. Sad. I can't let it happen to me! Not to mention how the heck am I going to be able to work when I get there?

I seriously can't wait to relax! I've been on such good behavior with my hectic schedule that I can sense it taking a toll on me. I had a wedding today at 6AM. Then school after that, I missed my first 3 hours of class but it's worth it when you're hauling in over $500. I was so out of it at school today because I was so exhausted. I tried my best to stay engaged like I usually am but everything I did just sucked... Is this how the sucky students feel all the time? Like they're behind and can't catch up!? And their work looks like crap compared to everyone else? Lol. I ended up skipping Pilates today to come home and nap instead!

My mom was home today and made a smart remark about me missing a little bit of school in the morning and a little bit of school in the evening too. Lol! I love my mum! She's been so supportive, encouraging, and understanding of me. I love that she calls me at every job to make sure I made it okay. And that at the end of the day she asks me how everything went and I can tell her stories about complete strangers and she will still listen. Not to mention when I leave for 5AM weddings she always has breakfast waiting for me in the fridge plus snacks I can bring with me to work. Also when I've come home from a long day she doesn't demand much from me, if anything at all. She just lets me rest, which is probably the most important thing to me at that moment.

Sleep has been my best friend lately. Even after taking a 3 hour nap, I can still sleep tonight! I'm yawning as I write this. Goodnight all! Kisses!

  • The Lunch Room Argument

So a few weeks back I wrote this whole entry about how non confrontational I am and how I would be the first one to walk away if conflict ever arose. Everyone and their mama knows this about me. So imagine the shock (including myself) when I lead the full on screaming match in the lunch room at school today. The room literally went silent the as soon as I got out a full sentence.

Let's back track a bit... my program at school has about 80 students who all have lunch at the same time. About 50 of us share a classroom sized lunch room, which has 4 microwaves with only 2 of them able to work at the same time without the fuse going out. So you can imagine the hectic conditions everyday. Actually, for the last year I've been there we've all been really cooperative and mature so that everyone has been really cordial and courteous that we've NEVER had a problem.

Until THIS semester when we have a new group of students, all with egos and attitudes that are out of this world. Long story short, the new students were being rude and doing things they shouldn't have been doing in the lunch room so the end result was that 8 of us (most of them my friends) did not get a chance to even eat lunch (we only get 30 minutes.) As people around me were complaining and bitching about it, which was completely understandable. YOU try going for 8 hours without being able to eat lunch because of a few other student's stubborness and rudeness. Naturally I stayed quiet and just kind of stood there with my friends as they continued to bitch. Honestly, I didn't really care too much about lunch but I could feel the frustration.

Then the exact girl who ruined it for all of us had the damn nerve to turn around and bitch at us for complaining. I had been watching her the whole time and I knew that she knew what she did was wrong. I stood by as my friend and her argued about it for a minute and out of no where I jumped in and went at it at her. She got louder so I got even louder. She yelled faster so I yelled even faster. Before I knew it the room of 50 had gone completely silent with only me and this one girl arguing back and forth. Not even back and forth. I didn't give her a second of silence to say anything. Thinking back on it I don't even know what she said nor do I recall what I had said. I don't think anyone does.

Everyone just remembers how I reacted. To be honest, I'm as shocked as anyone else. For the last year I've been awfully quiet. Nice but quiet. I've never even raised my hand to speak up in class or meetings. I've never cared enough to speak up. If I was good at one thing, it was keeping my cool and disappearing. But here I was... all the attention on me and freakin' losing it.

Now I die a little on the inside of embarrassment when the flamboyant white guy walks by and jokingly throws up the gang sign at me. Is that how I am when I'm mad? Ghetto?! *sigh* Or when they call me "Terrior" like Terrior Yorkie because I am so fiesty for my size. Or when the girls walk by and squeeze my elbow or smile and wink at me. How do I go back to being invisible?

Later when the fight erupts again now with the girl and my friend, another woman (also a new students) tell us to simmer down  (easy for her to say, she's sitting with her lunch, not to mention she's the reason the whole problem happened in the first place) and lectures us that we're in college and how she's a mom and we're acting like kids. I told her to shut the fuck up cuz she's ain't my mom! Yes, we're in college therefore she has no place to tell us how to act. I wonder why it's the guilty people who are the first and loudest to start the fights. Whatever happened to just apologizing when you're in the wrong? Or at least just shutting up and hoping everyone just forgets about you. Why do they feel the need to make it a point that they aren't in the wrong.. when its black and white clear they are and they know it! And they know we all know it!

Anyhow, I solved the problem. I went to the head teacher and told her everything. The new students can call me a snitch and tell all their little friends that it was me all they want. At least now there is going to be change in lunch room policies. So there will be NO MORE conflicts in the future. No one can claim they "didn't understand." Now it's officially BLACK AND WHITE. So they better start playing nice or they're out. Ha!

  • Labor Day at Napa Valley with the Phamily

SUPER fun!! It was so nice to be able to sleep in today after weeks of getting up early every single day. We started they day off with lunch at the Market in St Helena. Table of 9! The more the merrier! The weather was very hot today, which is perfect for me! I LOVE hot weather.

The first winery we went to was V Sattui. You can only buy wine from their winery, no where else. We wine tasted 6 different wines and ended up buying a whole case! I got 2 bottles of Moscato and some home made chocolate truffles. What a divine combination. We also got some specialty cheese that we basically finished by the time we got home. I've had plenty of wedding clients who have had their weddings at V Sattui but never have I gone and enjoyed it myself so it was nice to go and see the actual winery :)

The second winery we went to was the Castello Di Amorosa, a real live castle!

At the vineyards surrounding the castle. We stole some grapes to bring home for my cousin who had to work today. I also picked up dried grape vines off the ground to accent my home decorations. I love dried flowers :)

The whole sha banging gang. There were random white couches in the castle courtyard. Whoever thought of these were geniuses!

Random kid wandering into our picture.

    At the castle gate!

At the Castello Di Amorosa we also did some more wine tasting (15 different ones!) and bought a few bottle of dessert wines, Fantasia. We're definitely a sweet tooth group. By the time we left everyone got just a little louder and funnier. Hehe ;)

Lastly, we stopped at the Mondavi winery where did some shopping in the gift store. Unfortunately the wine tastings had stopped by the time we got there so we just walked around and admired their art work. Random fact: the performances arts center at my university is called the Mondavi Center.

    Yay gigant sunhats!

Us girls posing at the Mondavi winery front entrance. Lol, what's a family trip without us girls posing for the camera? : )

Posing at the flower garden with our moms. How cheesey. Yes yes we are :D

Up next I'm going to Seattle in 2 weeks. The funny thing is one of my bride's husband's family is from Seattle and they are having a 2nd wedding in Seattle the same weekend I am going to be there. So she hired me to do her hair & makeup for the 2nd wedding too. Haha! Won asked if I wanted to set up a booth at the Seattle's Wedding Exposition this year. Hmmmm.. thinking about it. I've have 5 brides all from Seattle (come do their wedding in the Bay Area) this year. At least I know I have a head start in the bridal market in Seattle. Ha!

  • Midnight Madness

I'm sooooo freaking exhausted right now. I've been working non stop these last two days. Thank God tomorrow is a holiday and I don't have school. I get a day to relax and recover with my family in beautiful Napa Valley Wine Country! I hope we don't do too much walking and hiking. I'm REALLY spent. Yesterday I had 2 weddings and an engagement shoot. Today I had 2 weddings and a touch- up session. Next weekend I have a wedding that I actually get to attend, of course that is after being make up artist. Then on Sunday I have an Indian/Western/Korean wedding. Talk about clashing cultures. But I have to admit they are one of my favorite couples to talk with. They invited me to stay and watch the different ceremonies and as much as I would have loved to, I have other weddings to work at.

I really enjoy school. We're learning facials right now so we get to give and receive facials in class! A lot of people fall asleep since the massages are so relaxing, we even have a few snorers! Me on the other hand hate it when people touch my face so while the room is super peaceful and quiet with only the sounds of soft music I'll suddenly break out in fits of giggles and disturb everyone's facial time. Hahaha. It's a treat for everyone but to me it's torture! Lol! As much as I love school I'm due for a holiday. I need a day I can just sleep in for once! Seriously!

You know how I've been reading so much lately? Well, I bought 4 more books last week. And people have been really interested in what I've been reading so I've lent out 5 of my books to date. It's funny because now instead of students getting caught texting during class, they get caught reading my books. Hahahha.

Okay. Super tired and just rambling now. Talk to you all later when I'm better rested. Kisses!
