  • High Maintenance

I was reading a girly girl magazine on my plane ride home. There was an article about what guys think of the way girls dress. One of the points that stood in my mind was that when guys see a girl wearing sky high heels they automatically think she’s high maintenance and stay away. Being that I live in sky high heels, I’m glad I don’t attract those guys!

Tell me how many hours you spend buffing up your car? Or time spent talking about your fantasy football league. How many hours do you spend at the gym? Guys can be just as high maintenance. Obviously, I am talking to good looking guys here. The uglies can just ignore this post because who cares what the hell they think about me and my sky high heels. Har har I kidddd. :D

Or if you think it’s a burden to be a man for your hot girlfriend to lean on, well maybe you don’t deserve a hot girlfriend. High maintenance means she has an eye for detail and probably a A game personality. So she can probably school you in your own subject and look good doing it. I hate cheap & lazy guys!!!

With that said, I am very low maintenance. Takes me 15 minutes from the time I get out of bed to the time I’m out the door. And 5 of those minutes are spent on brushing my teeth. What a lucky guy my yobo is :D

  • A girl should most definitely know how to take care of herself…however, I hate waiting. So, if you’re going to take 1 hour to get ready, then start getting ready 1 hour fucking earlier than everyone else! Don’t keep me waiting by saying “5 more minutes”, when you damn well know it’s not going to be 5 more minutes.

  • I never buff. I don’t pay any attention to sports on tv. Hmm 2-3 hours a night at the gym (but that’s to make you a healthier person soooo that’s not sooo bad).

And high maintenance girls are rarely worth it heh. I think you just described an intelligent girl rather than a high maintenance one, least in my opinion. High maintenance to me means more like I have to constantly take care of you, buy things for you, do everything on your schedule rather than splitting and sharing, coddling your ego, etc etc along those lines.

  • I concur, whenever I see girls with high heels I instantly think they’re frou frou. Ladies will call it looking classy, but the perception is that the look is associated with being a socialite. Clubs, fancy looking cocktail lounges or restaurants, and hell even swimming pools. Wth wears high heels to a swimming pool?

No different than how everyone assumes part frats and sororities are dbags and airheads.

  • Wow, your post is pretty harsh in a lot of ways but it strikes a real nerve in terms of being true and describing a dynamic that exists.

  • It doesn’t matter if you’re low or high maintenance. What matters is if your SELF maintenance. In other words, a girl can be as high maintenance as she wants to be – it’s only when she starts affecting other people’s lives when it becomes a problem. If you can maintain ur own high maintenance, what’s wrong with that?!
