Wedding Entry #5
I'll share pictures of dresses I did NOT buy! haha
My recommendation for all brides to be is to shop at David's bridal first because unlike all the other bridal stores that only carry sample sizes 8 -12, David's Bridal carries ALL the sizes for all their dresses. This means you can try on a dress in YOUR size and see if the shape is flattering on you. From there you can go to other stores and have a good narrowed down idea of what you want. Also, surprisingly out of ALL the bridal stores I went to (10+) David's Bridal had the best customer service. Who would have thought right?!
After a while, all the ball gowns started to look the same to me but nothing wowed me. I was losing hope fast seeing as I was on my 9th wedding store and every store only like like 1 or 2 ball gowns with a natural waistline.
Not the dress I chose but I liked this picture because it shows the super cute bridesmaids who went me to me all my appointments and were brutally honest (bishes) about what was good and not.Btw, I been watching A LOT of Say Yes To The Dress. And in a lot o the episodes the brides totally deflate because their friends hate what they love. So sad! Glad I have bridesmaids who, although may have different taste than myself, knows exactly what my taste is and were so good at keeping me on track and finding me my so Van Pham dresses.

Wow, alot of people are getting married and having babies this year... Congratulations and I hope you have a wonderful time prepping for your wedding... btw, all the dresses look beautiful... Especially the last picture-the one where the picture is taken from behind... Most likely everyone's going to see your back while you walk down the isle, so it's also wise of you to make sure the back of you looks good as well... Best of luck!
I still like that dress on you!
You and the dress are a great fit.
While the dress in the 5th picture is quite flattering on you, it also seems a bit much but that's just me.
i absolutely love the dresses in the 1st pic and the 6th pic. looking absolutely radiant!!
my fave out of these is dress #5 <3
1 is sexy too but a bit more mature.. haha
so many dresses. I'm just thinking from the guy side of things and it seems like we have it so much easier...
But you look wonderful
i like dress #1 the most on you !! but you should go with the dress you like best. =)
my biggest piece of advice is to shop for dresses only within your budget. i had a small dress budget but i made the mistake of going to my 'dream dress' boutique first. so when i tried on the dress i really liked but couldnt afford, i felt so sad!!! thankfully i ended up finding a similar style that was much more wallet friendly.
have fun wedding planning but don't let it kill all your family relationships, i speak from experience. =) enjoy it and try to maintain family peace at all times, you dont want to look back and wish you had been nicer to your mom or mom in law.. =)
beautiful!!
@Soapie - Great advice! I started at David's bridal and other similar priced boutiques first. Thankfully I never made it up to the designer name brands before I found my dresses. Otherwise, I too might have been heartbroken. Lol
And yes! I am trying to keep family involved through out the steps so they can yay or nay my decisions. Thankfully everyone has been really easy going so far and let me have my way. I have a feeling the week of the wedding is when the shit storrm is going to hit. Lol.
Pretty!
@paperblanks - Lol wait until you get into customized tuxes and suits. Fabrics, stripes, lapels, notches, cuffs, buttons, etc.. it can get pretty complicated. Lucky most guys have GIRLS who chose it all for them. Har har.
