Vlog 2 + some pictures
I need to buy a proper mic (ahem * Mr. Choe...) or speak louder or closer to the camera or something. To sum it up..
1. Sew: Currently taking sewing classes at community college. Made traditional Northern Vietnamese dance costumes for the dancers at church
2. Learn Korean. nada
3. Charity: Spent a lot of time, money, and effort into putting together a dance for our church's new year's celebration. It's the first time in our church's history that the teenage group participated in church so everyone was very supportive of us. And the teenagers themselves are very excited about our future plans to create a youth group for our church.
4. Photo Shoot: I've done a TON lately. Can't wait to see and share the photos!
5. Open a Salon: Will be taking my state board exam in 2 weeks. Have concrete plans to expand business into Seattle.
6. Baby: No progress. But my mom told Won to give me a diamond ring or a key to a house for Valentine's day... Hehe
And how for some totally random photos:
Mom's 60... something's birthday. I dunno. Lost count. See compost bin? Awesome! Everyone should compost, really.
With the dancers from church. We're wearing traditional Ao Tu Than, which represents North Vietnam. This outfit preceeded what we're mostly familiar with, the Ao Dai. Tu means 4 and Than means body. The dress is called 4 body because the coat part of the dress is composed of 4 panels of fabric (can't really see in this photo). We're holding these yellow flowers, Hoa Mai, which represents Lunar New Years. These flowers have to be tended to very carefully so that they bloom during the 3 days of New Year. We danced with these Hoa Mai branches and incense since it's in church.
With the super silly and fun girls. Can you believe I'm freaking 10 years older than them.. yet I'm the shortest -____-. Ughhhhhh. I use to teach them dance when I was 18 and they were 8 years old! Skip 6 years when I didn't see them because they thought they were too cool to dance in church. Now I'm 24 and they're only 14. I've never felt old before until today. *cries* hahahahaBut now I've reconnected with the girls and they see that dance and traditional clothes can be super fun and cute (thanks to mizzz designer moi) they are very happy to continue dancing for future church holidays. It's such an accomplishment because most teens stop caring about church and participating so I'm SOOOO happy to hear that they WANT to continue to hang out outside of church. Looks like our dream of creating a church Youth Group is finally coming together. Plus after our dance, a few parents and teens came up to the priest asking if they can be in the next dance. Success! Our group will only get bigger and bigger. But next time I'll just teach and design, I won't actually be in dance. Lol so embarrassing, I'm so old! WTH, when did time fly by!!?!?
LOTS of GREAT things happening in the new year. I'm so happy

In San Francisco, it's the law to compost. If you don't, they will fine you.
Wait...does that mean you're moving to Seattle?!
I will be sad. Tell Won to move here instead!
Btw, thanks for doing my nails today!
Very very excited to find out what happens on Valentine's Day lol. I had no idea you were planning to expand to Seattle (if you mentioned it I forgot, oops) but of course it makes sense!
