New Years in Seattle!
Yobo spent Christmas in Cali so I had to spend NYE in Seattle. Unknown fact: I tricked yobo into thinking I was too bothered to book flight tickets so yobo booked all of them saying I'll pay him back. After it all, when I tried to give him money, he said it's okay and just kissed me. Yay! Free stuff! Next, I'm going to tell him I'm too bothered to buy a shiny new car and if he can buy it for me
Yobo had an elaborate New Years weekend planned for me. I wonder what did I do to deserve all this bliss? Surely he must see something beyond the psycho, the shallow, the bitchy, the cry baby that makes him love me so much. I wonder what.
Date Night #1 was actually HH with his boss. And his boss' boss. and his boss' boss' boss. And apparently the VP of sales too, which is a REALLY big deal in the corporate world that I know nothing about. I happily munched away while everyone drank beer and told ridiculous stories, being all Alpha males and all. Then everyone told Won to marry me already to lock me down. Then they asked what it would take for me to move to Seattle. It's settled, they are going to give Won 2 big raises so he can buy a ring and move me up. Hahahahaha.
Date Night # 2 CINDER FREAKING RELLA musical! *faints!* I LOVE musicals! And Cinderella is probably one of my favorites. And they had an all star cast who I've seen in other musicals. And I was going ga ga over EVERYTHING. I even learned all the words to the "Impossible" song and sang is ALL weekend! <3 <3 <3
With the best guy ever <3 <3 <3
Premium balcony seats! Because last time I complained we were too close to the stage that I hand to lean my head back. Except this time I realize we were too far and missed out on crucial facial expressions. I can never be satisfied!
This theatre was strangely Asian decorated. See the lanterns and fans ornaments on this Christmas tree? They gave these little paper glass slipper shaped ornaments, which I saved for our scrapbook. Turns out they are biodegradable paper that contains wild flower seeds! You just plant them in some dirt and water them and wild flowers are going to sprout! WTH! I shoulda stolen all of them then! Too bad I only have one and I couldn't decide whether to put them in the scrap book or grow them so I decided to put them in the scrap book with a note for my great grandchildren to someday grow <3 <3 <3Date # 3. Fancy Dinner then Fireworks. You know what's not-so funny but funny? Before EVERY SINGLE big dinner date we have, we ALWAYS get into a blow up fight. Like I'm crying and want to go back to San Francisco home fight. But as always Yobo, surprisingly, calms down first and is more mature and patches up everything
Man! How do you bottle up a guy like this, mass reproduce, and sell it to all the other psycho girls out there?!
Yobo pretending I torture him!
Palisades in Seattle. The seafood there is sooooooooo good. But really, how do you mess up seafood? The meats on the other hand left something to be desired. Why can't king crab leg and lobster just be served on it's own? Why do they always have to accompany some sort of land animal or be put into some sort of salty crab cake or bisque. I like just plain ole boiled seafood with lemon.
Awww more Christmas trees! Btw, I HATE Christmasy things after Christmas. It feels so wrong! Take it down!!!!
Again, with the Asian themed decoration at a totally non Asian place. Am I missing something here?
We still had a few hours to kill before fireworks. So we went to GameWorx to try and crash in on his little sister's NYE date with her friends. So sad, I know. But coincidentally enough (or not) she just HAPPENED to be leaving when we got there. So our plans were foiled!
Lastly! SPACE NEEDLE fireworks!! Notice the change in outfits. I brought some extra clothes. And by extra I mean 4 pairs of socks, 3 pants, 3 shirts, 2 gloves, 2 scarves, 1 sweater, and 1 down jacket. I wore them ALL. Hahahaha. Didn't feel a smidge cold! We got there an hour early and walked around and walked around and walked around. We literally walked around the whole thing! I see fireworks at least 2 or 3 times a year because I love it so much. But I've never seen it done from a freaking structure before. So cool! Check out somebody's video below.Date # .. I lost count. But Won set up for us to go ice skating, which I know to most people is not much of a date. I mean, what's so great about ice skating besides the fact that I love it enough to go at least once a year. But what's soooooooooooooo special about it is that WON TO THE CHOE has NEVER ONCE in his life gone before. And for years and years and years he would tell me how he will never do a sport that I am better at him in. But for whatever reason this year. This 160+ pound man decided to swallow his male ego and take me. And risk embarrassing himself in front of hundreds of strangers and fall and bruise himself beyond recognition (dramatic, much?) just so I can be happy for 90 minutes of ice skating. He threatened to kill me if I posted pictures or told anyone about it. But in typically Van Pham fashion, I did not wake up until 12 noon and was too lazy and hungry to go. Still, it's the thought that counts. And I think I love you Won Choe! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
And that sums up my awesome Seattle weekend. Tune in next week cuz we're HEADED TO LAS FREAKING VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Palisades is only good for their seafood. That said, their sliders are actually pretty good. Try happy hour there one day. Totally worth it!
